class="wp-caption-text">Child Abuse Survivors

Before the advent of the Internet, the only times we would hear about child abuse, unless you had some type of personal experience with it, was when we would hear about cases on the news. There are statistics that have gone around about how there are more reported cases every year and how victims of abuse are much more likely to have some form of psychological issue when they get older, but now we are able to get a straight view into the long term effects that these people face. The way we can do this is through the use of the Internet and blogs in particular. These days you can find people sharing their knowledge and experience in almost every different area that you can think of, and that includes survivors of child abuse.

A simple web search will bring you to a number of blogs that are written and maintained by people that were abused at children. Many of them share exactly what they went through, how it affected them as kids and how it still affects them to do this day. These bloggers also tend to share their opinions on current events regarding abuse, any controversial legislation they want to talk about, and a variety of other topics. These people have very strong opinions on a number of topics, especially those that deal with children. It is important that we listen to what they have to say, because they have been through what have surely been traumatic experiences. They can provide us with better insight into the world of abuse than a newscast on television. As readers, we are able to get a better grasp on the emotions that go along with having to deal with these situations, and the more we know the better we can help those that are suffering today.

There are several reasons why survivors of child abuse choose to share with the world. For one, it can be very therapeutic to get such a large burden off of your chest, and know that people are out there reading about and relating to what you have to say. Along with this reason, keeping these blogs will also increase awareness about the problem problem affecting more and more kids every single day. Knowing that they are having a direct hand in helping children get out of the situations that they themselves survived can really help to heal emotional wounds. Lastly, there is a large network of people that have come out about their past abuse, and they provide support for each other as well as joining to fight the cause. This is can be like going to a meeting, but from the comfort of your own home. People that are reluctant to share their story in person have no reason to feel embarrassment in the virtual world.

The blogs being kept by so many people are not only doing a great service to everyone out there, including today’s children, but they are also very informative as well. By taking a look at them, you may even end up learning about yourself, which is not exactly a typical result when reading a blog. You should all take some time to browse through some of sites that we have listed below.

Child Abuse Survivor Blogs:

1. Child Abuse Awareness

Our means of communication have shifted dramatically in only the last fifteen to twenty years. We can reach the entire world with our knowledge and experiences with a few strokes of the keyboard and some clicks of the mouse. One area that has found a very large niche on the Internet is blogging about crime, and specifically child abuse. People from all aspects of the issue use their website to offer their own two cents on the topics, which not only results in interesting reading material, but is serving an important purpose at the same time. The best way to deal with these types of issues is to spread the word as far and wide as possible, and blogs offer a simple and efficient avenue for people to do so. We all want to put an end to the suffering of your nation’s children, and the use of blogs has made it possible to advanced the movement a huge distance in only a few years, which may have taken tons of man power and time using other methods.

There are a few types of child abuse blogs, but they mainly share one goal. They set out to make people understand the lasting effects that emotional and physical abuse can have on children. There are blogs that specifically deal with news about child abuse. They share cases or incidents that need to reach the public, and sadly these types of cases can be seen pretty much every day. Some discuss recent legislation that they may or may not agree with and why they choose the stance is also thoroughly explained. You can also find actual child abuse survivors in the blogosphere, sharing their experiences and providing a better understanding of the long term effects of being a survivor. A major aim of creating a network of people that are all involved in putting an end to child abuse once and for all is that you have a large volume of people that are working toward the same goal. Any journey will seem much less daunting when there is an entire country’s worth of supporters right by your side.

Writing a blog is like standing out in front of an audience with a microphone. All eyes are on you and everyone is waiting to see what you have to say. People wait to hear the opinions that respected bloggers have on every issue, and readers really care about what they have to say. The power belongs to the bloggers, and it is up to them how they will use it. Putting the spotlight on the issues that need and deserve it will always be appreciated, and it is possible to make a significant difference in this way. We have provided a list of some of the top child abuse blogs as sort of a stepping stone to introduce any readers that may be unfamiliar with this area. Take a look, find out more, and then help the community by reaching out along with everyone else.

Top Child Abuse Blogs:

1. Top 50 Justice Blogs

The United States has made heaps of progress as a nation over the past two hundred years. We have the ability to look back now with the progressive attitudes that we have gained and realize just how unfairly people were treated in the past. Whether it had to do with gender, race, sexual orientation, and all other subject matters, it is plain to see that there have been strides made toward a want for justice for every single human being. What is important to remember though, is that we have not yet reached our goal as a society. Ignorance still runs rampant, even with all the gains we have made. For us to make it there we need to keep in mind exactly what it is that we want to do, and then make a conscious effort to carry it out. This is why fighting for justice is so important, no matter who or what is involved.

To truly make significant accomplishments, we need to band together and tackle each issue as we see it. It is quite frankly embarrassing to see that in this day and age there are still employers that are unwilling to offer women the same wages or advancement opportunities as men. People are being discriminated against for their race or sexual orientation, when all they are looking for is a place to live and perhaps raise a family. Members of the gay community are at times unable to visit their partner, whom they may have been with for 50 years, when they are sick in the hospital. These are just a few of the examples, but there are literally thousands of cases of abuse, in all its forms, occurring on a daily basis.

The only way that a battle against any injustice can begin and gain recognition throughout the nation is by doing our part to increase awareness. Luckily, there are many people that are doing just that in the form of a justice blog or website. Reading and learning about what is going on in our country is going to give us the power to change things, nothing is going to happen on its own. Even if it is slow and gradual, change is sure to come if there are brave individuals there to help it along. Just taking a look at the past, as mentioned before, can give you a better perspective on how much of an effect one person can have. Here are some links to some of the top justice blogs available in their respective fields. Take a look at them, find something (or many things) that you are passionate about, and then get involved.

<span
